The Deepest Lake in Lviv Region
Among all lakes and quarry lakes in Lviv region, Zadorozhne has the greatest depth — 89 ft (27 m).
That is more than any natural lake in the region.
The quarry’s boundaries were constrained by the Zurba river on the south and west, the Shchyrka river and a railway line on the east. Even so, the volume of the lake is impressive.
Water Chemistry and Caution
The lake’s crystal turquoise water is one of its main attractions. But there is an important caveat: the chemical composition does not currently allow comfortable swimming in all zones (according to 2025 sources).
Depth increases steeply just a few metres from the shore — important to know before entering the water.

Getting There
By car from Lviv: head toward Stryi, turn at Mykolaiv toward the village of Drohovyzh, then right toward the dacha plots — the lake is visible from there.
Railway: the station is a few minutes’ walk from the lake.
